In 2006 Peter Kosiba had decided to take some Guitar Lessons. He had seen an advert in the local free paper for lessons in groups for £5. His tutor was to be Clive Rogers and at that meeting Roko Records was born.
Peter is originaly from Poland and Clive from the North UK, both are businessmen and once they realized they had a common interest in music there was no stopping them.
After a few tentative recordings of jam sessions based on old Hendrix tunes Clive started to show Peter his collection of CD's. Nothing strange in that except that these CD's where all recorded by Clive with his own original songs. Peter was shocked not only at the quality but at the quantity.
A idea for a record company was formulated and other artists soon joined. In 2009 Pete and Clive signed a worldwide distribution deal and in 2010 released eight albums to the world.
Of course there are many internet based record labels the difference with ROKO RECORDS is that they only record and promote undiscovered talented artists from Sussex in the UK. Increasingly music has become devalued ROKO RECORDS hope is to make a return to quality music with no glitz. That is to say what you see is what you get and what you hear is GREAT.
